Meet Our Owners, Emily & Jonas van Cleef
After starting her career as an attorney in Michigan, Emily realized that being away from her kids was not something she wanted. She decided to step away from her career and focus on raising her two children. When her husband Jonas, who worked in manufacturing, was relocated to Rock Hill, South Carolina, they moved with their 3-year-old and 1-year-old children. Emily enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom and continued to do so when they relocated to Maple Grove, Minnesota for 18 months before moving back to Rock Hill.
During this time, Emily became a pre-K teacher and added two more children to their family. However, her entrepreneurial spirit remained and she started searching for a new career opportunity. That’s when she and her husband discovered Bloomin’ Blinds, a company focused on providing solutions for customers and repairing all types of window treatments. Emily was drawn to the company’s emphasis on family and customer care and their commitment to offering a wide range of high-quality products, including shades, blinds, shutters, drapery, and motorization options. Shortly after, the couple decided to open their own Bloomin’ Blinds locations. The van Cleefs are owners of Bloomin’ Blinds of Rock Hill, SC and Bloomin’ Blinds of South Charlotte.
